This is an original watercolor and ink painting, suited to mat or frame in 5x7” size. In this abstract landscape series, watercolor paint describes the forms of land and sky, layers of watercolor define shadow, light, and nature-based abstract forms. Ink lines are then added, sometimes defining forms and enhancing contrast, sometimes following the shape of the watercolor paint itself and sometimes the shape of the composition, but always representing the choices I make about where divisions and integrations will be in the final piece.
